Come Home (Nata Uno) Nigeria International Root Festival is a Clarion Call informed by the urgent need for us as a people to promote / maintain our most cherished value system, wherever we are around the world.
Heroism is a product of our observed value Dynamics: Excellence is the end product of our leverage on the same : Good food our bet: Family to us a jewel: Our Music Melodious: Dressing gracefully: Development Unavoidable: Innovation our bed mate: Hard work our profit making our entitlement imperative. PROUDLY NIGERIANS OF IGBO DESCENT AND ETHNICITY.
Together with many others have lost hold and missed the necessary orientation and values that are the new South East and South South of Nigeria. it took some of us coming home seasonally, re-routing our academic engagements and and pursuit with schools in the Southern Region of Nigeria to reconnect to our roots and values, speaking a bit of the Igbo language and being competitive within the region and Nigeria at large.
Today we have children born and raised in various countries of the world and craving to reconnect to their mother land and their root, born Igbos by birth from Nigeria and the Southern region. Many of these kids are over 18years of age and have never visited home (UNO). As they have no clue of the world their parents came from and are therefore disconnected from their roots
The questions remain, where will they plow back to? How will they be part of the change expected of them from our home country up to our ancestral homes? How will they be able to connect to their blood relations and have eventful interactions and exchange? How will they embrace the values, skills and norms needed wherever they are? Can the values imparted to us by our parents be replicated in our children?
We believe that working together we can Objectively and purposefully mobilize millions of people, who since slave trade and the aftermath of Nigerian civil war left in search of greener pastures outside the shores of Nigeria and Igboland to “COME HOME” NATA UNO to the resounding welcome on annual basis to our dear MOTHERLAND.
The need for added value to our people and the community is key. we must begin to clean up our image globally through strategic social interaction and exchanges, messages, music, comedy, entertainment, exchange activities and prayers. By coming together millions of people are mobilized as one agent of change and therefore agents for better and responsible society. It is the expectations and prayer of many around the world; Our children, wives, husbands, friends, sister, brothers etc, to be reconnected to our roots,
The support of co-operations, individuals, government organizations and institutions, churches and communities within and outside the shores of Nigeria will be strategically needed. Focusing on Travel and Tours, Tourism and Hospitality development, strategic businesses and receptive environment would create enabling space for our vision to grow.
